Brisbane Airshow - Tim Berry

Tim Berry

Tim currently flies FIFO and corporate charter operations into rural and remote areas of Australia in B350 and B200 Kingair turboprops. His passion for aviation began as a 15 year old Air Training Corps Cadet flying wood and fabric gliders. This paved the way for powered aircraft and led Tim to complete his Commercial Pilots licence. He enjoyed his flight training so much, he became a flight instructor, and pursued this career for over 13 years, finishing up as a Chief Flight Instructor of a busy flight school. His passion for warbirds and WW2 military history began at a very young age. He described himself as extremely lucky to have experienced and flown many vintage and warbird types. He currently owns and operates a T-28 Trojan which is quiet rare in the Southern Hemisphere. Being a very early production USAF T-28, it features many similarities to early jet systems, especially the F86 Sabre. It is powered by the Wright R1300 Cyclone 7, giving the aircraft a very unique sound. Currently, this is the only Australian warbird operating this engine type.
