Born and bred in the Australian Snowy Mountains, Brett was captivated with flying from a young age while growing up in the Aerial Ag industry with Helicopters in the back yard at home.
Deciding to fly fixed wing instead at 18, Brett learned to fly with British Aerospace in 1997 and moved on to fly multiple aircraft types with various organisations throughout Northern and Southern Australia before moving into Regional Airline flying (and moving in with Jimbo Jr!) in 2002.
Brett joined Qantas in 2005 initially flying the Airbus A330 and currently flying the A380 however returned to his helicopter roots in 2007 to also fly helicopters commercially.
In 2015 his love of Warbirds and helicopters was culminated in the restoration of his Bell 47 “Sioux” which is now tactically infiltrating the Red Radials community and appearing at various air shows around Australia.
